A limited edition Holiday piece from the Telluride collection, this hand-woven handbag celebrates the season in a color steeped in history. The striking red comes from cochineal—a natural dye with roots in ancient Aztec and Mayan culture. The Aztec Empire valued cochineal so highly that provinces paid annual tribute in the dye, and it once rivaled silver as Mexico's most prized export.  Handwoven by the Bii Dauu Collectivo of Oaxaca, Oaxaca Mexico.
